Novak Djokovic talked about the working partnership he has undertaken with his former rival and friend Andy Murray, during the media day of the Brisbane International, the first ATP he will play in the new 2025 season.
Being on the same side of the net is actually fantastic, because he was one of his greatest rivals, explained the Serbian champion.
Who then said how in a certain sense it was strange for him to share all the sensations of how he feels on the court, some of the secrets of what he is going through, how he sees his game with someone who has always been one of his main opponents.
“I am very grateful that he agreed to work with me here in Australia. The 10 days we spent together were fantastic. I enjoyed every single moment. He is very meticulous, professional. It does not surprise me because I have known him for so many years as a player. Murray has a unique perspective on my game, being one of the greatest rivals I have ever had,” revealed Nole.

“Andy knows my ins and outs. He also played on the Tour until recently, so he knows all the other best players in the world, the young players, their weaknesses and their strengths. I think I can only benefit from him, he will add something to my game, also considering his champion mentality,” he analyzed, very motivated by this new adventure with the Scot.
Whatever happens, their union as player and coach is already a success. Mediatic so far, because it celebrates the old tennis era with two of its greatest exponents, in a vintage and captivating union, which will arouse the curiosity of fans and of us media obviously, but hopefully also of new generations ready to become fond of tennis.

But obviously it is hoped that their partnership will also bear the desired fruit on the court. As I already wrote in a recent editorial, I believe that Murray is the perfect choice for Djokovic, in addition to being the tennis news of the year!
