He injured his right knee while battling past two rivals in five sets, including a thrilling victory over Musetti. Djokovic withdrew ahead of the quarter-final and underwent surgery. The veteran recovered for Wimbledon and reached the final!

Novak faced Lorenzo in the semi-final and notched a 6-4, 7-6, 6-4 triumph before falling to Carlos Alcaraz in the title clash. The Serb threw everything at the Olympic Games in Paris, seeking an elusive gold medal.
