Rafael Nadal has reclaimed the distinction of having the highest win percentage in matches at ATP Masters 1000 tournaments from Novak Djokovic.
Djokovic‘s Masters 1000 win rate had overtaken Nadal’s during his run at the 2024 Shanghai Masters, but his defeat in the final saw his percentage drop just below the Spaniard’s.
Nadal and Djokovic are the only players who have won over 80% of their Masters 1000 matches, while Roger Federer is the only other man above the 75% mark.
Here are the five players with the highest match win percentages at ATP Masters 1000 tournaments (with a minimum of 100 wins).
5. Pete Sampras – 73.08%
Pete Sampras built a 190-70 record from the 260 matches he played at Masters 1000 level, which gives him a 73.08% win percentage.
The American won more matches (42) and has a better win rate (80.8%) at the Miami Open than any other Masters tournament.
Sampras earned his maiden Masters match victory at the 1990 Indian Wells Open, which was the first tournament held after this category of event was introduced.

4. Andre Agassi – 74.11%
Andre Agassi amassed a 209-73 record from the 282 matches he featured in at ATP Masters 1000 tournaments, giving him a 74.11% win rate.
The Miami Open is comfortably Agassi’s most successful Masters event for matches won (61), win percentage (82.4%) and titles (six).
Agassi won his first Masters Series match at the 1990 Indian Wells Open.
3. Roger Federer – 77.91%
Roger Federer compiled a 381-108 record from the 489 matches he played at Masters 1000 events, leaving him with a 77.91% win percentage.
The Madrid Open is Federer’s best Masters 1000 tournament for win rate (84.5%), while Indian Wells is his most successful for match wins (66).
The Swiss icon made his Masters 1000 debut at the 1999 Miami Open and won his first match at this level of event at the same tournament in 2000.
2. Novak Djokovic – 81.96%
Djokovic holds a 409-90 record from the 499 matches he has contested at Masters 1000 level so far in his career, which gives him a 81.96% win rate.
The great Serbian has won more matches (68) at the Italian Open than any other Masters event, while he has his best win percentage at the Miami Open (86.3%).
Djokovic made his Masters 1000 debut at the 2005 Cincinnati Open and won his first Masters match at the 2005 Paris Masters.
1. Rafael Nadal – 82%
Nadal has a 410-90 record from the 500 matches he has played at ATP Masters 1000 tournaments in his career, giving him a 82% win percentage.
The Monte Carlo Masters is Nadal’s most successful Masters 1000 tournament for matches won (73), win percentage (92.4%) and titles (11).
The Spanish legend won his first match at Masters 1000 level on his debut at this category of event at the 2003 Monte Carlo Masters.
