Keith Urban Says One Fan Once Threw Their Prosthetic Leg On Stage And I Have To Say That’s Pretty Wild
The fan must have been hopping mad.
Keith Urban has had some pretty crazy fan interactions, although when visiting the Kelly Clarkson Show, he details his craziest interaction yet.
“Well, among all your tours, has there ever been a crazy moment where things went awry?” Kelly Clarkson asked at the veteran country singer.
He gets straight into the story. When he was playing a show, “This girl yells out from the audience, ‘will you sign my leg?'” He expected the fan to come onto stage so he can sign it. This is not what transpired.
“And I went, ‘of course,’ what a great moment,” he continued. “She’s out there, I say ‘yep come on up!’ Then she disappears, I couldn’t see her. Then she pops up out of the same spot and throws this prosthetic leg up on stage!”
Clarkson’s jaw dropped as the audience laughed.
“It just landed with a thud,” he continued recalling. Clarkson was beside herself.
“I picked this leg up, and I’m signing the leg, and then I’m like, ‘how do I get it back to her?'” Urban says.
Clarkson joked that he should have made it surf the crowd back to the fan. And that’s exactly what he did.
Keith Urban Crowd Surfed Someone’s Signed Prosthetic Leg Back To Them
Sure, why not.
“So I gave it to the audience, and they just surfed it back and she put it on,” he finishes the story. There have been lots of examples of fans throwing things on stage, especially recently, but this one takes the cake.
It’s a leg up the others, if you will.
Recently, Zach Bryan has been facing lots of objects flung at him by fans. These are rather disruptive examples, however, and not as well-intended. Although if a prosthetic leg is to be thrown on stage at any concert, it would be Keith Urban concert.
I wouldn’t think there’d be someone out there with a leg objectively better than most others’, but I guess we learn something new every day.
Urban couldn’t remember when this happened, only saying, “This was years, a long, long time ago.”
