Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott (4) walks off the field after an NFL football game against the San Francisco 49ers in Santa Clara, Calif., Sunday, Oct. 27, 2024.

After losing to the Atlanta Falcons in their away game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium last Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys are on one of their worst runs this season.

In addition to dropping three consecutive games, the Cowboys have lost one of their most valuable assets, as Dak Prescott had to leave the last game due to a hamstring injury. It’s still unclear how long he will be out, but everything points to a short-term injury.

When Prescott left the game, Cooper Rush, a 30-year-old quarterback, stepped in as his substitute. Rush played well but couldn’t prevent the Cowboys from losing yet another game.

Loads of criticism for Prescott

Skip Bayless is well-known for his criticism of Prescott, whom he considers the most overpaid player in NFL history.

In a recent video posted to his ‘X‘ account, Bayless made it clear who he prefers to watch playing, and it’s obviously Cooper Rush.

Cooper Rush gives the Dallas Cowboys a better chance than Dak Prescott would. I just like watching Cooper Rush operate the offense more than I do Dak. Rush is more poised, he throws it better upfied, he’s a bit more consistently accurate… I just like what he’s made of,” Bayless stated.

Fortunately for Bayless, Prescott’s absence is expected to be brief, so we’ll soon see if Cooper Rush performs at a higher level and puts Prescott in a challenging position.
