Why Harry Styles Skipped the 2025 Grammy Awards

Two years in a row? The people miss you, Harry!

Harry Styles Wins Album of the Year at the 2023 Grammy Awards

Apologies to anyone hoping to get a glimpse of Harry Styles tonight, because sadly, the singer has ditched the Grammy Awards for a second year in a row. Of course, he wasn’t expected to show face at the ceremony (which is taking place just one day after his birthday, btw!), mostly because he isn’t performing, presenting, or up for any awards this year.

Harry’s most recent album, Harry’s House, was released back in 2022, and it ended up earning six nominations at the 2023 Grammys and scoring two wins: Best Pop Vocal Album and the coveted Album of the Year award. A very good year for Harry indeed (other than the fact that the revolving stage Harry and his dancers used for rehearsals decided to break during his performance and start turning in the wrong direction. But that’s showbiz for ya!).

If you’re wondering whether you can expect new music from Harry anytime soon, I’ve got some bad news for you: HS4 still doesn’t have a release date. Fans have been itching for new music ever since Harry was spotted back in the studio last March…but still, nothing solid has been confirmed. But chances are, HS4 will be worth the wait.

Per the Daily Mail, Harry’s fourth studio album is expected to be his most “emotional” project yet…though what exactly that means, I couldn’t tell ya. All I know is that his second album, Fine Line, was released in 2019, so if he sticks to releasing an album every three years, then we’re due for a new one in 2025 (aka this! year!!).

While I not-so-patiently wait for HS4 to drop, I’ll just be watching Harry’s 2021 Grammys performance of “Watermelon Sugar” on repeat, tyvm.
