Strictly Come Dancing’s Katya Jones has delighted fans with behind-the-scenes snaps from the ongoing Strictly Live tour,

sharing glimpses of the fun moments shared by the cast in the wake of recent events.

Just days after Welsh opera singer Wynne Evans announced his exit from the live tour due to “inappropriate” comments,

Katya posted a series of playful backstage photos that showcased the light-hearted camaraderie among the remaining cast members.

Katya and Wynne were paired together in the 2024 series of *Strictly*, making it all the way to the Blackpool ballroom before their elimination.

Their journey on the BBC show wasn’t without its ups and downs, as they found themselves at the centre of a bit of controversy.

Fans of the show noticed a tense moment between the pair, where Katya moved Wynne’s hand away from her waist and later refused a high five from him.

This sparked a flurry of online speculation, with many viewers assuming there might have been tension between the two.

However, Katya swiftly addressed the situation, clearing up the misunderstanding. She took to Instagram to clarify that the incident was just an inside joke between her and Wynne.

“It couldn’t be further away from the truth,” Katya explained. “This whole incident with the hand and the high five was just an inside joke between Wynne and I. Was it a silly joke? Yes.

Was it a bad joke? Yes.” She reassured her followers that there was no bad blood between them, emphasizing that it was all in good spirits.

Despite the controversy, Katya and Wynne continued their performances on the Strictly Live tour, with their next stop being Liverpool on January 28, followed by upcoming shows in Leeds and Manchester.

The tour was set to conclude on February 9, but shortly before the Liverpool performance, Wynne Evans made the decision to leave the tour.

Wynne, who has become known for his role as a professional dancer on *Strictly*, announced his departure in an emotional Instagram post.

He explained that the decision to take time off was due to a remark he made during a photocall for the tour, which was deemed inappropriate.

He expressed regret over his actions, saying, “I’ve agreed with the BBC that I’ll take some time out from my radio show and the Strictly Live tour, as well as my other public commitments, to prioritise my wellbeing.”

Wynne further apologized for his “inappropriate and unacceptable” remark, acknowledging the pain his actions may have caused.

“My language was inappropriate and unacceptable for which I sincerely apologise,” he wrote in his post.

A spokesperson for the Strictly Live tour and BBC Studios confirmed that they had not been made aware of the comment prior to Wynne’s departure.

The statement emphasized that the BBC has a strict no-tolerance policy regarding inappropriate behavior, noting, “We have made it very clear to Wynne that we do not tolerate such behaviour on the tour.”

In the wake of Wynne’s exit, Katya shared a series of fun photos on Instagram, capturing light-hearted moments from the tour.

The images showed members of the cast relaxing and enjoying themselves backstage, a stark contrast to the recent controversy surrounding Wynne’s departure. Katya’s caption read, “Shenanigans from the last few weeks. Let’s dance for you, Manchester!”

The photos featured several cast members, including Gladiator star Montell Douglas and professional dancer Michelle Tsiakkas, who were seen napping together during a break.

Another snap showed the cast participating in a Pilates class, while another captured the group huddled together, enjoying each other’s company. Katya also shared a moment of herself dancing with EastEnders actor Jamie Borthwick.

The cast’s fun-loving spirit was evident in the comment section of Katya’s post, with Montell joking about their “mid-show naps” and Jamie playfully teasing, “I smell a tele spin into a lunge…” Fans and fellow cast members joined in, with one fan asking, “Does Jamie ever stop dancing? Or is it just his whole personality now?” Katya humorously responded, “He doesn’t. HE IS DANCE!”

While the exit of Wynne Evans from the Strictly Live tour was a sad and unexpected turn of events, the camaraderie among the cast remains strong, with Katya’s Instagram post offering fans a glimpse of the lighter side of life on the tour.

The remaining dates of the Strictly Live tour will no doubt bring more joyful moments, as the dancers and celebrities continue to share their talents and personalities with audiences across the country.
