Caitlin Clark passed her first year in the WNBA with flying colors, winning the Rookie of the Year award despite early struggles. She became a dominating presence for the Indiana Fever, and a never-seen-before stat left basketball fans in awe on social media.

In a post by the StatMamba page on X, formerly known as Twitter, Clark had one of the greatest rookie seasons in league history. She wasn’t just a good scorer and playmaker, but her rebounds, steals and blocks were elite numbers.

The Fever star was in the 99th percentile for assists and the 97th percentile in points, while she was at the 90th, 92nd and 89th percentiles in rebounds, steals and blocks, respectively. It meant that there were only a handful of players better than Clark in the five main categories.

Basketball fans had nothing but praise for Caitlin Clark, who took over the WNBA and helped it grow to a new level. However, some members of her fanbase aren’t forgetting the doubters who thought that Clark would have trouble adjusting to the physicality of the league.

“Geno said CC’s game would not translate to the WNBA. And Geno is a genius, just ask him. He also said that her fans are ignorant,” a fan pointed out.

“There were real people that said she can’t create her own shot,” one fan wrote.

“This is some crazy stuff. A well rested and jacked Caitlin Clark is going to be some crazy sh*t. And the only thing the haters have are TOs. Su**s to be them.

There were some struggles in Caitlin Clark’s first few weeks in the WNBA before she started figuring things out as she led the Indiana Fever to their first postseason appearance in seven years.

“Looks like we have been right almost every time. Here’s another expectation, Clark winning MVP unless A’ja (Wilson) shoots 22 or more shots a game,” a fan predicted.

“Supersized Steph Curry greatest prospect in basketball history men or women,” one fan claimed.

“Basically better than everyone in the league already. I would say unanimous MVP incoming, but with the biased pathetic jokers that is the WNBA media, and I’m sure certain voters Caitlin will be MVP in 2025,” another fan remarked.

Clark was one vote shy of becoming the unanimous Rookie of the Year and finished fourth in the MVP voting.

One of the most talked about comments about Caitlin Clark early in the WNBA season came from UConn coach Geno Auriemma.

The legendary leader thought that Clark was having difficulty adjusting to the physicality, and her “delusional” fanbase got her in trouble by making a lot of players mad.

Auriemma made the remarks on The Dan Patrick Show, which you can watch below:

Fast forward to the end of the season, Clark is the Rookie of the Year. Her star power also continued to grow with headlines left and right despite being in the offseason.
