Blake Shelton Says No One Can Party Like Post Malone: “I Used To Think I Could Go Pretty Hard”

Post Malone, Blake Shelton Release 'Pour Me a Drink': Listen

It’s hard keeping up with Post Malone.

Post Malone knows how to have a good time, and his fans know that when they attend one of his shows, he will often be on stage with a red solo cup, encouraging his crowd to have a great time.

When you’re running with Post Malone when he’s off stage, get ready to have a night. Blake Shelton recently said that partying with Post Malone is not for the faint of heart. Last year, Malone collaborated with Blake Shelton, releasing their hit song “Pour Me A Drink,” which was released ahead of his debut country record, F-1 Trillion .

While the song is catchy, lyrically, it lacks depth compared to other tracks found on the record. In the tune, the two sing about having a tough work week, and they are both ready to have an ice-cold beer: “Forty hours got me goin’ out my mind Dallas dropped another game in overtime Caught a ticket speeding down the 65 Don’t know where I’m goin’ Guess I really went and messed it up again Now, my baby’s goner than the Tulsa wind Judgin’ by the stone-sober state I’m in Need to crack one wide open” While it might not be the single that holds the most depth on the record, it’s an excellent ditty to throw a cold one back to. Blake Shelton and Post Malone are no strangers to throwing a drink back together.

The two spent a few nights together creating this song and running around the country music scene together. During a CMT interview, Blake Shelton said you better buckle up for a rodeo when you’re going out with the Texas native.

In fact, Shelton thinks that Post Malone’s partying style puts him to shame. “I used to think I could go pretty hard, back in the day. Nobody I’ve ever met has anything on Post Malone. I mean, he is…he is living a stereotypical country song every day of his life.”

Maybe 2025 will be a turning point in Post Malone’s partying ways as he said he hopes to slow down in 2025 and take his time more in life. “Take your time. I feel like, for a long time, I feel like I was trying to go as fast as I could. And now I just kind of want to take my time.”

While I am sure, this New Year’s resolution might be put to the test as he embarks on his BIG ASS Stadium Tour 2025 , which kicks off in April. I am sure he, Jelly Roll, and Sierra Ferrell will have a rowdy night or two together. Pro Tip: If you’ve got some big drinking days ahead of you, grab some Liquid I.V. , a great-tasting but most importantly effective hydration tool to help fight off those hangovers.

My strategy is one before you start drinking, one when you’re done drinking, and one the morning after. I’m not saying it’s 100% effective but I guarantee you’ll be feeling significantly better than if you just stuck with water, or even worse, more beer.
