Jon Bon Jovi endorses Kamala Harris for President as he says ‘the truth matters’

Kamala Harris has received a lot of celebrity support in her bid for the White House and now Jon Bon Jovi has announced his endorsement of the Vice President

Jon Bon Jovi has thrown his support behind Kamala Harris in her bid to become the next US President.

The singer, 62, endorsed Harris in a new music video for his hit track The People’s House. Bon Jovi shared the black-and-white video on X and shared his support for Harris in a post accompanying the clip.

“The People’s House is a song that celebrates this beautiful place that we call home, from sea to shining sea,” he wrote. “The truth matters. And the truth is on election day I’ll be voting for @KamalaHarris and @Tim_Walz because I believe in the power of we, not of me. I’ve written a song reminding us that out of many, we are still one.”

Tim Walz thanked Bon Jovi for his support in the comments. He said: “Thanks, man – so grateful to have your support!”

Fans also praised the singer for endorsing Harris. “Absolutely love that you’re voting for Harris She’ll make a huge improvement in our economy & cares about people,” one person said.

“This is good, really good,” another fan wrote. A third person commented: “My man!! Been a fan since I was able to dance…been to many many concerts. You ALWAYS (see what I did there lol) continue to add to your legacy! Thank you for being someone I am PROUD to pass onto my 4 boys!”

This isn’t the first time Bon Jovi has shared his political views. He has previously supported other Democratic candidates for President and was appointed by former President Barack Obama to the White House Council for Community Solutions in 2010.

Other celebrities who have thrown their support behind Harris include Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift. Taylor shared her support for Harris in a lengthy Instagram post.

She wrote: “I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos. I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.

“I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice. Your research is all yours to do, and the choice is yours to make. I also want to say, especially to first time voters: Remember that in order to vote, you have to be registered!”
