Chiefs Owner Clark Hunt’s Strong Reaction to First Loss of Season: Report
The Buffalo Bills did what no other NFL team could since Christmas Day of last year on Nov. 17, and that’s defeat the Kansas City Chiefs.
After becoming the first franchise is 20 years to become back-to-back Super Bowl champions, the Chiefs entered Week 11 with a perfect 9-0 record. While many of Kansas City’s wins weren’t pretty and uncomfortably close, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Co. kept finding ways to come out on top.
However, Bills quarterback Josh Allen put the game on his shoulders in the fourth quarter, scoring a 26-yard rushing touchdown on fourth down that put Buffalo up 30-21. While Mahomes had a chance to pull off a miracle comeback, his pass was intercepted by Bills linebacker Terrel Bernard, which sealed Buffalo’s win.
According to KLKC radio host Darren Smith, Chiefs co-owner and CEO Clark Hunt didn’t take the team’s first loss of the season very well.

“When I say Chiefs CEO and owner Clark Hunt is pissed, that in and of itself is an understatement,” Smith posted on X, which immediately turned some heads.
Chiefs Kingdom begged for more details, in particular, what it was the set him off. While a perfect season would’ve been incredible, the team’s goal since last February was to pull of a historic Super Bowl three-peat. At 9-1, that dream is still very much in play.
Smith added an hour later, “Nothing to expand on with Clark being upset. Seeing how that last drive played out and the mistakes that were made, I’m sure (in my opinion) he wasn’t too happy about it, nor was anyone else in that tunnel.”
“You don’t see much emotions after a loss and this was a first,” Smith continued. “I have postgame responsibilities and interviews to do, so me writing a novel on his emotions is not high up on my priorities.”
He ended his tweet with a knock at Buffalo. “Congratulations to the Bills Super Bowl win tonight, I’m sure Josten’s will be by after the parade on Tuesday for ring measurements.”
Next up, the Chiefs face the Carolina Panthers in Week 12.
