Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James will start his 22nd NBA season in two months. As the all-time points leader, he has achieved several milestones throughout his professional career. James, who recently praised Caitlin Clark, also had an outstanding college career. In his sophomore year, he averaged 25.3 points, 7.4 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 3.7 steals per game.
From 1999 to 2003, James played for the St. Vincent–St. Mary varsity basketball team. His hometown team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, selected him as the first overall pick of the 2003 NBA draft. Interestingly, his high school jersey remains a prized possession for fans.
According to recent reports by The Athletic, LeBron James’ 2002 “The Chosen One” high school jersey will be up for auction in Hong Kong this September. Estimates suggest it could fetch between $1 million and $2 million, potentially making it the most expensive high school jersey ever sold.
James, widely regarded as the greatest all-time player, will turn 40 in December. However, the four-time NBA champion is not showing any signs of slowing down. The 39-year-old superstar recently showcased his stellar skills on the court at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Auction Details For LeBron James’ “The Chosen One” High School Jersey
James’ “The Chosen One” high school jersey will be up for auction through Julien’s Auctions, a privately held auction house in Beverly Hills, California. The company was founded in 2003 by Darren Julien and is co-owned by Martin Nolan. The auction is scheduled for September 27 at 10:00 pm EST.
James has had an accomplished professional career and is considered an NBA GOAT. He is a four-time NBA champion, four-time NBA MVP, four-time NBA finals MVP, and 20-time NBA all-star. Recently, he was named the tournament MVP of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
