Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown has been in Manama, Bahrain, for over two weeks. The reigning NBA Finals MVP has been working on his game even in the offseason. He is back to training for basketball in a swimming pool.

Brown’s swimming pool regimen started in 2022. Back then, he shared clips on Instagram showing himself holding dumbbells while in the water. On Friday, Jaylen Brown shared a series of photos on Instagram, a few of which had the star dunking while in a swimming pool.

The most viral photo was easily the one where Brown jumped out of the pool to dunk the ball. “JB” might be the most explosive athlete on Boston’s roster but slamming the ball from what looked like waist-deep water was jarring.

Jaylen Brown is coming off his best season in the NBA. He deservingly won finals MVP in the Celtics’ run to the championship. Brown wasn’t just clutch on offense, he also shouldered a heavy burden on defense as he was Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic’s primary defender.

Celtics fans will be excited with Jaylen Brown’s training

The chip on Jaylen Brown’s shoulder is seemingly as big as ever. Brown might still be upset following what looked like a snub from Team USA. He even took a shot at USAB director Grant Hill after the Hall of Famer explained his decision not to include Brown in the team. The Celtics won the NBA championship but “JB” looks ready to prove the doubters wrong again.

If Brown’s training is an indication of his dedication and pursuit of greatness, Boston Celtics fans should be excited. While most NBA players have taken a break, the “Old Man” has been looking for ways to improve his game. A stronger and more explosive Brown will be even more devastating for the oppositions.

Last season, Jaylen Brown averaged 23.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.2 steals per game. Brown shot 49.9%, including 35.4% from deep, but struggled with his free throws, making just 70.3% of his shots from the charity line. As somebody who gets a lion’s share of the attempts, Brown could work on his free throw efficiency.

The last playoffs showed that Brown could also become an ace on the defensive end. It is an area that he might want to expand more in his arsenal for next season.
