An unfortunate Indiana student is done for the year after suffering a torn ACL during Pat McAfee’s kicking contest on ‘College GameDay’ this Saturday.

McAfee typically offers students sums in the hundreds of thousands for made kicks, and this weekend, one named Jake stepped up to the challenge.

He ended up blowing his ACL on the attempt, as his left leg bent under his weight, given that he clumsily hit the deck.

Check it out in the video below:

Jake was reportedly rushed to the hospital after the miss.

Social Media Couldn’t Believe The College GameDay Fail They Had Just Witnessed

Fans were unsure how something like this could happen and sounded off on social media.

“That’s the most unathletic thing I’ve ever seen,” one commented.

“Holy s**t, everything gave out 😭,” another noted.

“How on earth do you even…omg,” a third wrote.

“Did he punch himself in the face with his forearm, too??” someone else asked.

Freshman Jeram Salles stepped up as a replacement kicker and got two opportunities to win some cash, with McAfee offering him $150,000 after he went wide an attempt at $100,000. A successful kick would have gotten both him and Jake a handsome sum, yet he missed both.

Who knows? Maybe ‘College GameDay’ takes care of Jake’s hospital bills.
