Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce make a huge decision that shocks the American public.
It was a busy Friday night for Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce.
For starters, the four-time First Team All-Pro tight end attended an official Chiefs event hosted by team owner Clark Hunt and his wife Ava Hunt. The team celebrated their “Candy Land”-themed Christmas party, and Kelce was in attendance for the event as he was honored for his recent nomination for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award.
Kelce even took the stage as Clark Hunt spoke fondly of the Chiefs star not only for being “one of the greatest tight ends to ever play the game,” but also for how the 35-year-old “consistently uses his platform for good.”
Kelce, however, could not stay the entire night. After all, he had more pressing personal matters to attend to as his girlfriend Taylor Swift was also celebrating her 35th birthday on the same day.
As it turns out, Kelce made a big decision on Friday night by choosing to be with the “Fortnight” singer to celebrate her special day as opposed to staying at the Chiefs party where he was one of the guests of honor.
According to a report by Page Six, Kelce exited the team event early in order to be with Swift on her special day.
“There was speculation online as to whether Kelce had to skip out on Swift’s birthday plans since he was spotted on Chiefs heiress Gracie Hunt’s Instagram Story attending a Christmas party for the NFL team,” Page Six wrote.
“However, our insider confirms that while that engagement was ‘mandatory,’ the Super Bowl champ made sure to ‘leave early to go be with Taylor for her birthday.’”
The same Page Six report indicated that it was a private celebration between the happy couple as they commemorated the milestone birthday “just them two.”
Kelce reportedly gave his girlfriend a “ton of gifts,” which according to a separate report, cost the Chiefs star around $175,000.
For what it’s worth, Kelce’s big decision to leave the Chiefs party early in order to be with Swift is not an indication of choosing between his priorities. If anything, it just goes to show how the former University of Cincinnati star is able to effectively balance his responsibilities as a player and his relationship with arguably the most popular celebrity on the planet right now.
