Where will the Mike Vrabel domino fall this hiring cycle?
Dan Orlovsky seems to have an idea.
During an appearance Tuesday on “The Pat McAfee Show,” the former NFL quarterback-turned-ESPN analyst speculated about Vrabel’s next move as buzz continues to swirl around the ex-Titans coach.
“I think Vrabel is spoken for,” Orlovsky said on the program as he took a sip from a Yeti cup.

“… I just think that Vrabel’s probably got a very clear sight and path with where he is going to be likely coaching.”
When asked if Vrabel, 49, is eyeing the college or pro level, Orlovsky didn’t delve into the specifics.
“He’ll be coaching football,” he said before expanding on the matter ever so slightly.

“I think that there is a vision for where he kind of likely ends up coaching next year. I’m not a reporter.”
A former NFL linebacker and three-time Super Bowl champion with the Patriots, Vrabel coached the Titans from 2018 through 2023. He was fired in January after a disappointing 6-11 campaign.
Vrabel posted a record of 54-45 over the course of six seasons and reached the playoffs three times.

ESPN reported last week how Vrabel “is considered a prime candidate to get one of the seven to eight jobs that will inevitably open.”
There are currently three NFL openings with the Bears, Jets and Saints.

The Jaguars (3-11) are likely to move on from Doug Pederson after the regular season concludes, and it remains to be seen if teams such as the Raiders (2-12) and Giants (2-12) make sweeping changes in the offseason.
There’s also the question of whether the Cowboys (6-8) decide to retain Mike McCarthy, who is coaching on an expiring contract.
However, it’s possible Vrabel could forgo the pros and join his former coach, Bill Belichick, in the college ranks.
UNC announced the eight-time Super Bowl winner as its new head football coach last week.
Belichick spent nearly five decades coaching in the NFL, with 24 seasons spent in New England.
