Where was Missing You filmed?
Coben’s novel is set in New York City, but the show’s creators decided to shun the Big Apple as a filming location.
Rather, the Netflix series is shot in areas around the UK.
Some scenes were shot in Bolton’s town centre, including at Le Mans Crescent, Victoria Square and Bolton School.
The police station where Rosalind Eleazar and Richard Armitage’s characters work was shot in the Greater Manchester town of Stockport.
Armitage revealed the latter was one of his favourite locations to work in.
He said: “Often, they are just mundane sets of banks of computers, strip lighting and low ceilings.
“Our production designer, Vanessa Hawkins, used this old Victorian building, which I think was once an orphanage.
“It has a balustrade balcony and real height so we have crane shots.
“You can see the whole of the police station from above and the layering of design within the room. It’s brilliant.
“I absolutely love Stagger’s office. It reminded me of a scene from Columbo.
“It’s all dark wood and moody mid-century furniture.
“It’s so interesting because I think the building was derelict.
“They did an incredible renovation on it.”
Who is in the cast?
Cold Feet’s James Nesbitt leads the illustrious line up, playing the role of Dominic Calligan.
Also making up the cast are Rosalind Eleazar, Richard Armitage, Jessica Plummer, Lenny Henry and Ashley Walters.

What is the series about?
Based on Harlan Coben’s novel, the show follows a detective named Kat Donovan who sees her long-lost ex-fiancé on a dating website.
The novel deals with themes including online dating, unsolved murder, and the emotional journey of protagonist Donovan.
A synopsis reads: “Eleven years ago Detective Kat Donovan’s fiancé Josh – the love of her life – disappeared and she’s never heard from him since.
“Now, swiping profiles on a dating app, she suddenly sees his face and her world explodes all over again.
“Josh’s reappearance will force her to dive back into the mystery surrounding her father’s murder and uncover long-buried secrets from her past.”
