Stephen A Smith has admitted he would not be able to remain faithful in a marriage because of the way he works.
Smith has been a staple on ESPN for many years and, according to him, works 330 days a year. Speaking to Cam’ron on the rapper’s ‘Talk With Flee’ podcast, he revealed it’s why he’s never been married.
“I know that it’s hard, I know that it’s worn on some people as well,” he said. “It is the reason why I’ve never been married, because I was on the road 200 days out of the year and the fact of the matter is at that time it was no way in hell I was going to be faithful. I knew that, so why the hell am I going to sit up there and violate my marital vows knowing ahead of time I ain’t going to honor them?”
Well, at least he’s honest. But this could backfire if he ever finds someone he wants to settle down with while still working a hectic schedule at ESPN.
Fans Weren’t So Sure About Stephen A Smith’s Reasoning
Fans didn’t quite buy Smith’s explanation.
“Bro you don’t gotta get all articulate. Just say you enjoy having money and h**s 🤷🏾♂️,” one said.
“Men that were sunglasses indoors regardless of the lighting are self absorbed and can’t be trusted,” another added.
“I don’t think that’s the reason,” said a third.
“i coulda swore when i used to watch First Take bro was gone every other month 😭,” a user recalled.
We’ve got to take this to mean Stephen A gets a lot of action out on the road. But that’s none of our business…
