“Jeopardy” final clue (Photo via Twitter)
Even one of America’s favorite game shows can’t help but make fun of the New York Jets.
The Aaron Rodgers-led 2024 New York Jets will go down as one of the most disappointing teams in recent memory. The four-time MVP was supposed to turn the Jets into a Super Bowl contender, with other stars like Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall, Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams also guiding the way.
But just about everything has gone wrong for the Jets this year. Head coach Robert Saleh and GM Joe Douglas were fired weeks apart. The blockbuster trade for star wide receiver Davante Adams has done little to upgrade the offense, too.
Now, the beloved “Jeopardy!” game show can’t help but poke fun at the dysfunctional Jets, whose postseason drought has been expanded to 14 years.
In the “Final Jeopardy!” question, contestants were asked to name the one NFL team that played “in the Super Bowl before Neil Armstrong’s moon walk that has not been” to the big dance since.
The Jets, of course, are the correct answer. But the contestants went with the Cleveland Browns (they’ve never played in a Super Bowl), New York Giants (they’ve played in five NFC Championships since 1986) and Houston (the Texans joined the NFL as an expansion franchise in 2002).

New York Jets Won It All In 1968 Season
The Joe Namath-led Jets won the franchise’s only Lombardi Trophy 56 years ago, defeating the heavily favored Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl 3. If only Jets fans at the time knew that there’d be nothing to celebrate for the next half-century.
