Source Reveals Kirby Dach Lacks Unanimous Support in Habs Locker Room as New Story Emerges

Even though Kirby Dach is returning from an injury that caused him to miss a year of activity, the Montreal Canadiens center continues to disappoint.

Unfortunately, Dach has been a big disappointment since the start of the season. It’s a shame, but it’s the reality.

He has only collected eight points, including just two goals in 28 games so far, and as reported by the site HABSolumentFan, a former head coach of the Canadiens publicly stated that he had had enough of number 77.

In a recent appearance on the JiC show on TVA Sports, Michel Therrien didn’t hesitate to criticize the lack of urgency in Kirby Dach’s game and even made a strange comparison with another sport.

«It’s starting to annoy me a bit. It’s the kind of play that makes the coach get tired. […] St-Louis’ reaction behind the bench says it all after a second turnover in the third period that leads to a penalty.

He’s aiming for the green jacket, and I’m pretty sure he’ll win it. He works so hard for that.

I don’t see any improvement in terms of turnovers [for Dach]. It must be frustrating for a coach to see a player keep making the same mistakes. David Savard has to block shots on the penalty kill because of his nonchalant actions. It’s certain that he’s starting to get on the nerves of a few veterans in the locker room.» – Michel Therrien

Even worse, Michel Therrien believes Kirby Dach does not have unanimous support in the locker room.

Does Kirby Dach not have unanimous support in the tightly-knit Montreal Canadiens locker room?

Ouch.

Therrien is, of course, referring to the famous green jacket awarded annually to the winner of The Masters, the most prestigious golf tournament on the planet.

Unlike golf, being in the minus in hockey is not really a good thing, and the Canadiens center holds one of the worst plus-minus differentials in the NHL this season.

At minus-21, only Philipp Kurashev of the Chicago Blackhawks is worse in this category this year.

In his last 10 games, Kirby Dach has only recorded one point, which was a goal off a real gift from the Anaheim Ducks’ goalie at the Bell Centre last Tuesday.

Even though he’s been paired with Juraj Slafkovsky and Patrik Laine since Laine’s return, offensive production has been slow to appear in his case.
