NFL legend Randy Moss has called upon his fans for prayers after concerns were raised about his eye color.
The Hall of Fame wide receiver revealed that he is battling a health issue.
Moss, who works as an analyst on ESPN’s NFL pregame show, decided it was best to break his silence because there have been social media comments about his eyes looking yellow.
Yellow eyes can be a sign of health issues related to the liver, but Randy Moss chose not to state what could be ailing him.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, New Jersey-based optometrist Dr. James Dello Russo gave his expert opinion on Moss as he stated he has jaundice, a yellowing of the whites of his eyes, which is a common symptom of cirrhosis – damage to the liver.
Russo could only speculate as to what underlying conditions Randy Moss may be suffering from since that is not his patient.
“Randy does not specify what sort of internal condition he has, which means we can only speculate as to what it could be,” he said.” It is difficult to tell what he has beyond jaundice, which isn’t really a condition but more just a description of a yellowing of the whites of the eyes.”

Russo added that if Moss is dealing with hepatitis, he could easily recover and be cured, and it could take as little as a month.
“If it is hepatitis, we do have a cure for that — so he can get better and pretty quickly, within a month, get over that… The liver can heal with medical management, amazingly, which may be able to reverse what’s causing the yellowing of the eyes.”
On Sunday, Randy Moss called upon his fans for prayers after concerns were raised about his eye color.
The 47-year-old took to his Instagram to update his followers about his health. In the video, Moss filmed himself on ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown set.
“I just want to give you all a little message,” he started. “I’m on my grown man right now. This is a message for all the men.
“Throughout the week of the holidays your boy has been battling something internal,” he continued. “I just ask for all the prayer warriors to put their blessing hands on me and my family through these hard times.
“I know people were talking about my eyes last week, and you know I’m here,” Moss added as he put on a pair of sunglasses.
Randy Moss Is Getting All The Prayers
Randy Moss is widely considered one of the greatest wide receivers of all time and easily one of the most likable athletes in recent memory.
In his career, he led the league in receiving touchdowns five times and retired with 156 receiving touchdowns.
He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018.
He provided fans with so much entertainment, and now it is only right that he receives the prayers that he needs to overcome his health issue.
