Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence, who is currently pregnant, took to the streets of Las Vegas to campaign for Vice President Kamala Harris.

The 34-year-old, who first endorsed Harris in late September, joined Nevada volunteers, going door-to-door to urge undecided voters to support the Democratic nominee on November 5.

Sporting a yellow coat and an up-do, Lawrence looked ready for business as she canvassed neighborhoods. She shared her strong pro-choice stance, saying: “I’m voting for Kamala Harris because I think she can protect reproductive rights.”

Lawrence added: “The most important thing is to not let somebody into the White House who is going to ban abortion.”

At Las Vegas Democratic headquarters, she posed for a group photo, later posted on the Kamala For Nevada Instagram page. Lawrence fired up volunteers, discussing “meaningful political discussion” and encouraging first-time voters.

Back in September, she announced her endorsement for Harris, telling People: “Abortion is literally on the ballot. I’m voting for Kamala Harris because I think she’s an amazing candidate and I know that she will do whatever she can to protect reproductive rights.”

In her interview with the magazine, Lawrence responded to critics who call her “uneducated” due to her nontraditional schooling: “As online trolls like to point out every time I get involved in politics, I didn’t go to school, I dropped out of middle school, so I don’t have a classic education… So storytelling is where I get most of my education.”

Lawrence has produced the documentary Zurawski v. Texas, which highlights women’s rights advocates who sued Texas over restrictive abortion laws.

“Women are dying,” she said, explaining the documentary’s purpose to “enlighten people’s idea of what abortion is and why certain people need abortions — and why it’s so important to keep lawmakers out of families and out of people’s doctors’ offices…These laws are made by random white men and they’re not made by healthcare providers.”

Lawrence’s Las Vegas appearance follows a wave of celebrity endorsements for Harris, including Taylor Swift, who wrote: “I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.”

Additional endorsements have come from stars like Billie Eilish, Harrison Ford, Charli XCX and Beyonce.
