The Montreal Canadiens’ new forward, Patrik Laine, is experiencing a very special week.
After being cleared by doctors to return to play, after receiving an incredible reception from the Bell Centre crowd, and after scoring his first goal in his first game with the Montreal Canadiens, he received more great news yesterday.
He was selected to join Team Finland for the prestigious Four Nations Tournament.
Patrik Laine breaks the silence on TVA Sports
Last night, the Habs forward appeared on TVA Sports to reflect on this memorable week.
«It’s been a couple of good days.»
– Patrik Laine, visibly moved by everything he experienced this week.
Laine shared that his selection for the Four Nations Tournament is something truly special for him.
He also made an interesting statement, mentioning that he hopes to have the chance to play again alongside his good friend Aleksander Barkov.
Here’s hoping Finland’s head coach hears that and agrees, as it would be incredible for Laine to play with a world-class player like Barkov.
Together, the two would form an extremely dominant duo.
It’s heartwarming to see that Laine has a friend like Barkov.
Aleksander Barkov, aged 29, is a player for the Florida Panthers.
This season, he has 25 points in 18 games, following an 80-point campaign in 73 games in 2023-2024.
He’s undoubtedly one of the best hockey players in the world and an amazing ally for a young player like Patrik Laine.
We love it!
