An excerpt from Martin St-Louis’ press conference, held Saturday before the game against the Detroit Red Wings, has gone viral on social media.
The head coach of the Montreal Canadiens was asked about Cayden Primeau, and let’s just say things took an unexpected turn.
See the footage:
Martin St-Louis visibly irritated when questioned about Cayden Primeau.
We can clearly hear him swear in french and leave «Tabarna**»
Simon Olivier Lorange asked Martin St-Louis if the organization still trusts Cayden Primeau to win a game.
Martin St-Louis loses patience during a press conference
To say the least, he really didn’t appreciate the question.
Since then, the journalist has unfortunately been the target of numerous unpleasant comments on social media.
The problem isn’t so much the question itself, in my opinion, but more the person asking it. I don’t think MSL is the biggest fan of Lorage.
It’s true that Lorange and Martin St-Louis often seem to be at odds during press conferences.
One thing is certain: it feels like this is an issue that will need to be addressed because it’s clearly starting to escalate and become heavy during these pressers.
Simon-Olivier Lorange has a job to do, and personally, I think the question was relevant.
The timing to ask it was probably not ideal, but I’m asking myself the exact same question.. Does the Canadiens organization still trust Cayden Primeau?
In short, it’s a situation to watch.
Let’s recall that Samuel Montembeault played both games in back-to-back nights against the Detroit Red Wings.
That’s something we rarely see.
And let’s not forget that the Canadiens won 5-1 last night against the Detroit Red Wings at the Bell Centre.
