Mike Matheson Loses Patience and Slams Door Live From Canadiens Practice

Impatience is clearly starting to show with the Montreal Canadiens, especially for veteran Mike Matheson. We saw it yesterday with Martin St-Louis, and personally, I also like seeing a veteran like Matheson trying to shake things up a bit.

After the head coach:

It was then Mike Matheson’s turn to show impatience.

I’ll repeat myself, but this is really not a bad thing and it’s actually positive to see that Matheson “cares” this much.

He is truly not indifferent to what’s happening right now.

Memorable moments involving Mike Matheson

As the excellent Marc-Olivier Cook reported:

Mike Matheson was frustrated throughout the entire practice. At one point, he was even heard slamming the boards after making a mistake during a drill.

There was a long – very long – discussion between Stéphane Robidas and him after the practice.

Matheson lost his patience yesterday during practice in Brossard, he was frustrated throughout the session, and he even slammed the door after a drill.

He then had a long and serious discussion with Stéphane Robidas after all that.

I’m really looking forward to seeing how Matheson will respond tonight, against the powerful Winnipeg Jets, especially since he has regained his spot on the first power play unit, for now, at the expense of young Lane Hutson.

Matheson, 30 years old, is a 6-foot-2, 196-pound left-handed defenseman from Quebec.

He was the 23rd overall pick by the Florida Panthers in 2012 (first round) and has accumulated 15 points in 27 games this season, after recording 62 points last season.

To be continued.
