Let’s start with this: Sunday’s game between the Bills and Lions in Detroit pits not only two of the best teams in the league, but the two teams most people would like to see face each other in the Super Bowl.
The Lions (12-1) have the best record in the NFL and are one of just four NFL teams that have never been to a Super Bowl (the Browns, Texans and Jaguars are the others).
The Bills (10-3), who are running away with the AFC East, have been to four Super Bowls but never won one.
Both teams possess some of the most dynamic players and personalities in the league. Bills quarterback Josh Allen is a hands-down MVP candidate, and Lions head coach Dan Campbell has completely turned around that franchise culture and his quarterback Jared Goff — who’s rejuvenated his career in Detroit and become an MVP candidate.
