Not many Montreal Canadiens fans knew the name Jakub Dobes just a few weeks ago, but it’s a completely different story today! More and more, he is proving that he definitely has the making of an NHL goalie and, possibly, even a number one goalie.
It’s such a beautiful sight to see, and a great story is unfolding right before our eyes.
Last night, after the big win against the Dallas Stars, during a press conference in front of reporters, Jakub Dobes once again impressed us with his inspiring and confident words.
He showed how grounded he is and how grateful he is for this wonderful opportunity in Montreal.
He takes nothing for granted.
A beautiful message from Jakub Dobes to Kent Hughes and the Canadiens’ management
Here are some excerpts that speak volumes.
I love it!
Jakub Dobes: «I wanted to get called up. When I was in Laval, I wanted to be here so the one thing is I want to prove I belong here and the second thing is I kinda want to show everyone like they made the right choice.”
There were a lot of days in Laval that I wanted to be here so it’s kinda been motivation to show everyone that maybe they were wrong – but I don’t want to say it in a confident way – I just want to prove myself that’s pretty much it.”
Incredibly mature speech.
Do you believe he will be the number one goalie for the Montreal Canadiens one day?
