The excellent insider Pierre LeBrun has just revealed some very interesting information regarding the Montreal Canadiens forward, Jake Evans.
According to his information, several teams are already interested in acquiring Evans, including the New Jersey Devils, a team Kent Hughes has dealt with on several occasions over the past few months.
Notably, one might think of the Jake Allen trade and the Johnathan Kovacevic trade.
Pierre LeBrun confirms that the New Jersey Devils have Jake Evans on their list
Here is the relevant excerpt.
“Among the teams that already have Jake Evans on their list are the New Jersey Devils, according to my information. They are looking for a good center for their 3rd or 4th line, and ideally a right-handed one, who can win faceoffs and kill penalties..
So, he’s not the only one; there’s a certain list, but he’s on it.
Every team like the Devils, who are aiming for the Stanley Cup, has a list of 10 to 12 players at this time of year, and Jake Evans is one of the 12 players on the Devils’ list. But we’ll see what happens.”
Pierre LeBrun, who adds that if the Canadiens are truly in the playoff race by the trade deadline, it’s hard to see them selling Jake Evans.
Check out the excerpt here:
In summary, it all depends on the price.
If it were your decision, what would you do with Jake Evans as the trade deadline approaches?
