Something special is clearly happening for Martin St-Louis and the Montreal Canadiens right now.
This is no joke, the Canadiens are literally the best team in the entire National Hockey League over the past month, at least statistically.
Martin St-Louis’ squad has gone from the last position in the overall standings to a position where they can genuinely believe in making the playoffs this season.
It’s incredible.
What makes it even more impressive is that the Canadiens have achieved this despite a completely ridiculous schedule.
Three games in four nights against the best teams in the NHL, long road trips, homecomings.. and yet, Montreal keeps winning.
A magical moment involving Martin St-Louis after last night’s victory
In my humble opinion, these successes can clearly be explained by the special atmosphere in the locker room, and we’ve just been given yet another concrete example.
Watch head coach Martin St-Louis’ reaction in the following video:
It’s magical to watch, and it speaks volumes about what’s currently happening with the Canadiens.
You can also see the young goaltender Jakub Dobes, who was once again the hero of the night.
In this clip shared by the Canadiens’ official account, you can also see Kirby Dach awarding the «Player of the Game» honor to Joel Armia, which is clearly well deserved.
Dobes would have deserved it as well, but it’s understandable that Kirby wanted to highlight Armia’s performance.
It’s all so wonderful to see!
More details to come.
