Comedian Hannah Berner is under fire after a Netflix special joke referencing Blake Lively landed at a highly sensitive time, with Taylor Swift even caught in the crossfire.
In Torching 2024: A Roast of the Year, the Giggly Squad Podcast host joked: “The word c— was trending this year. I don’t think Blake Lively was that bad.”
While the joke’s timing has raised eyebrows, Berner clarified on Instagram that the special was filmed before Lively’s legal battle became public.
“To be 100 percent clear, I support Blake xoxo,” Berner posted.
Lively’s lawsuit accuses her It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni of sexual harassment, creating a hostile work environment, and orchestrating a smear campaign to tarnish her reputation.

Allegations include Baldoni’s improvised intimacy during scenes and intrusive personal inquiries. Court documents also detail Baldoni entering Lively’s trailer uninvited and sharing explicit content.
As fallout intensifies, Baldoni has been dropped by his management, lost professional partnerships, and had a solidarity award rescinded.
A source close to Lively revealed: “This is just the tip of the iceberg. Blake wants everyone involved in the plot to pay the price.”

Meanwhile, support for Lively has poured in. Her Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants co-stars released a statement condemning Baldoni’s “hypocrisy,” while co-star Jenny Slate called the revelations “disturbing and wholly threatening.”
Actor Michele Morrone also shared an emotional video: “Blake was in pain. I stand with her.”
Baldoni denies the claims, with his lawyer branding them “outrageous” and a ploy to “fix her negative reputation.”
