Cayden Primeau Has Left the Montreal Canadiens’ Entourage, and a Press Conference Is Expected

The young goaltender Cayden Primeau has indeed left the Montreal Canadiens’ entourage, according to journalist Eric Engels.

According to the Sportsnet journalist, Primeau is currently not with the team, just hours after Jakub Dobes was called up.

«The Canadiens were a bit delayed coming to Florida, but they’re here now and getting activated ahead of their first post-Christmas practice.

Have seen all of them, except for Cayden Primeau.

He doesn’t appear that he’s here, though Habs haven’t updated on that yet.

Martin St. Louis will address it after practice.

There will, therefore, be a very interesting press conference from Martin St. Louis after practice, and we will get our answers then.

In light of this new information, don’t be surprised if Primeau is placed on NHL waivers tomorrow at 2:00 PM.

An anticipated press conference from Martin St. Louis as Cayden Primeau is missing

It’s also worth noting that there is currently a roster freeze in effect in the National Hockey League.

This means Kent Hughes could not place Primeau on waivers today but could (and should) do so starting tomorrow.

Primeau, 25 years old, has a record of 2-3-1 this season, with a goals-against average of 4.70 and a historically low save percentage of 0.836.

Further details will follow.
