We have some news about none other than the excellent Carey Price, from the Montreal Canadiens.
In an interview over the past few hours with La Presse, number 31 answered numerous questions, and towards the end, he announced that he will be back in Montreal by the end of the season.
We love it.
We highly recommend the full interview with Carey Price and La Presse.
«I miss the games, I miss the energy in the arena.. I miss the preparation, the intensity, but what I miss the most is being part of a team.»
Carey Price
In this interview, Carey talks about his new daily life and his new realities.
«At 37, he can still lace up his skates for a skate with his son at the local rink, but he can’t even imagine putting on his pads again.»
Richard Labbé
Carey Price announces his return to Montreal and the Bell Centre by the end of the season
And indeed, towards the end of the interview, we learn this:
«At the end of the article, we also learn that Price will be back at the Bell Centre by the end of the season.»
Marc-Olivier Cook
If the count is correct, I believe this will be his third trip to Montreal this season, which is no small feat considering he literally lives on the other side of the country (in Kelowna).
It’s really a shame to hear him explain how beat up he is today, but at least, it seems we understand that it doesn’t prevent him from playing with his kids.
At this point, that’s truly the priority.
We haven’t forgotten you, Carey!
Price, 37, has played 712 career games in the National Hockey League, all with the Montreal Canadiens, with an average of 2.51 goals allowed per game and a save percentage of 0.917 (record of 361-261-79).
That’s extremely solid.
