We might have a busy day ahead at the Montreal Canadiens today. First, the team will face the Stars tonight live from Dallas, and we are currently awaiting a recall from the Laval Rocket.
Numerous sources have mentioned that the Canadiens will make a recall, notably to replace Emil Heineman (injured), but also to replace Michael Pezzetta, who clearly no longer has the trust of head coach Martin St-Louis.
We are therefore closely monitoring this news.
Will it be Jared Davidson? Rafaël Harvey-Pinard? Joshua Roy? Lucas Condotta or someone else?
The answer will come in the next hours/minutes.
The Canadiens are calling the media for a press conference
Please also note that in addition to the upcoming recall for Kent Hughes, we are monitoring the press conference that Martin St-Louis will hold before the game.
He will then confirm his lineup for tonight’s game, and he might confirm the identity of Emil Heineman’s replacement.
Heineman should be back in about 3-4 weeks after getting hit by a car in Utah.
«The Canadiens will not hold a morning skate on Thursday. St-Louis and a few selected players will answer media questions at the hotel before the game.»
Montreal Canadiens
The Stars are currently on a hot streak, riding an 8-1-1 record in their last 10 games. They managed to neutralize the Canadiens’ offense in their contest last Saturday, allowing only one goal in a shootout victory.
