Viewers shared their views after The Voice winner was announced
SOFRONIO Vasquez is riding high after being crowned the season 26 winner of The Voice.
The singer was victorious over the remaining contestants, after a tense season finale.

Born on November 9, 1992, Sofronio Parojinog Vasquez III is a Filipino singer who now lives in the United States.
Before pursuing music, he originally studied to be a dentist.
In 2022, he moved to America to work as a dental assistant in order to provide for his family after the death of his father.
The star cites his late dad as his inspiration to become a singer.
Speaking about his journey before becoming a star, Sofronio told Vogue Philippines: “Our neighborhood in the province always had karaoke. Growing up, I would always hear my family sing. So I guess that was a foreshadowing of my future.
“But I grew up in a squatters’ area, where any time, our home could be demolished, so I didn’t focus on singing at the time, because my father always told me to go to school so I could have a good future.
“It wasn’t until I was in college that I was pushed to sing because for some weird reason, there was a singing competition, and I was the representative of our college.
Finding his voice
In 2024, Sofronio signed up to take part in NBC’s The Voice season 26.
After wowing his first audition, singing sensation Michael Buble spun his chair around for him and signed up to be his coach.
He then joined fellow contestants Jeremy Beloate, Danny Joseph, Sydney Sterlace, and Shye in a tense final and he won the show.

Speaking after being crowned the latest The Voice champ praised his coach, and said of Michael: “I put my trust in him.
“I don’t know where am I going tonight, but tomorrow, probably I’m gonna call him just asking that.”

Fan reaction
Fans were overjoyed with Sofronio’s win, and took to social media to congratulate him.
“The right person won. Great season,” said one person.
“I have followed your journey since the audition. I was hoping that you were going to win this competition, and indeed you did. Congratulations, Sofronio! You deserved it,” said another.
A third then said: “Deserving winner. Did not put a foot wrong in this competition. We are proud of you.”
While a fourth wrote: “I’ve been watching The Voice my entire life, and I am super happy and proud of the first Asian winner.
“Such an awesome performance from the blinds up to lives. Congrats #SofronioVasquez.”
And a fifth added: “This is making me emotional. Congrats to the Filipino Phenom, Sofronio Vasquez!”
