“It’s been quite a spicy summer for these 4,” the post’s caption read.
“What do you think will happen next?!”
An Instagramer simply answered the question: “This’ll end in tears.”
In the long-running daytime show, Courtney plays the beloved character, Sally Spectra.
The actress noticeably went quiet on social media recently, leaving fans a bit confused as she’s appreciated by Young & Restless lovers for her active online presence.
Despite slowing down with social media, she posted an Instagram story reassuring her fans that they shouldn’t worry about her, Soap Opera News and Updates reported.
“Because a lot of people have asked me where I’ve been on social media. I haven’t been posting as much and I’m here to address it,” she said.
“We each go through different seasons of our lives and this season for me has been a lot about head down, nose to the grindstone working,
“And really nourishing the relationships around me and with myself. And I’ve been doing 15 minutes of social media a day. That’s it. It’s been wonderful.”
A lot of users used the question asked in the caption as an invite to voice critiques about the last season of Young & Restless.
“Hate this storyline,” a fan shared.
“I want Adam and Sally to get married and be happy!! I so tired of Adam being the bad guy.”
“If Adam and Sally break up I’m done with Y&R,” a Young & Restless lover said.
There comes a line where it goes from inspiration and motivation to depression honestly. So, yeah, I’ve been taking a step back and not neglecting those things and making those shifts and changes and enjoying my life as it is.

“I stopped watching B&B because of the foolish Steffy, Liam, Hope triangle BS. Y&R is getting worse by the day.”
Many fans of the show had questions, which some decided to unleash in the comments of the post.
Concerns about characters leaving were noted, though Courtney had already attempted to clear things up.
She told fans that she’s “diving more into my life” and “looking at who I need to be, what I want to be, what my life looks like for the next chapter and how I can become that.”
“This is my working season,” she explained on Instagram.
“Head down, I’m a part of a lot of different things. A lot of deadlines are coming up. And also really looking at the things in my own life that I’ve been neglecting because of all of my work.”
Most of the fans spoke out about their love of the storyline around the characters Sally and Adam in the comments of the post.
An Instagram user slammed: “LEAVE SALLY AND ADAM ALONE!! THEY ARE MAGICAL!!”
“Adam and Sally for sure,” another person added.
“Love these two together please don’t break them apart.”
Someone asked: “Did I hear correctly that Courtney is leaving the show?”
“I hope not,” they added.
“Plus, if her character stays Sally can hook up with Billy.”
“Well, I read that you are leaving the show,” an individual stated.
“So maybe Sally will end up with Billy?”
The worry comes as Courtney has been absent from some newer episodes recently – fans said she’s been MIA online and in the show.
The Sally portrayer wanted fans to understand that she’d just be taking a break to realign herself and her life.
“There comes a line where it goes from inspiration and motivation to depression honestly,” the actress confessed.
“So, yeah, I’ve been taking a step back and not neglecting those things and making those shifts and changes and enjoying my life as it is.”
When it comes to social media, Courtney even expressed looking forward to making exciting posts again.
“I’m excited for the season where I’m posting, posting, posting and sharing all the good news,” she said on her Instagram story.
