Former Cleveland Cavaliers guard Delonte West is still fighting his inner demons, hoping to one day live the normal life he used to have.
The former NBA player has dealt with substance abuse and mental health issues over the years, and he has regularly been spotted on the streets either asking for money or just hanging around while homeless.
This week, a woman is getting blasted on social media after old footage showed her recording West dancing outside a 7-Eleven.

He appeared to be enjoying himself, but her recording Delonte West and laughing had people on social media blasting her.
She laughing but she’ll never have a legacy like him

Says “I do not believe in recording people at their lowest” then proceeds to record someone at their lowest. Anything for likes and attention on social media even if it’s at the expense of someone “at their lowest”. Shame on her. She needs to DO BETTER!

West first began to draw concern in 2016 when he was pictured barefoot and in a hospital gown out in public in Houston.
A first-round pick by the Celtics in the 2004 NBA Draft, West played for the Cavs from the 2007-08 season through the 2009-10 campaign.
He last played for the Dallas Mavericks during the 2011-12 season.
He ended his career averaging 9.7 points, 3.6 assists and 2.9 rebounds per game.
Everything Went Badly For Delonte West After His Final Year In The NBA
No one could’ve foreseen what was to come for Delonte West.
West played eight seasons in the NBA, spending time with the Cavaliers, Mavericks, Thunder, and Celtics.
West playing for Dallas would find him a friend in Mavericks owner Mark Cuban.
In 2020, Cuban picked up West and placed him in a hotel room so he could reunite with family members. He and Delonte’s mother both convinced him to go to a rehab program.
It worked for a couple of months, but eventually, Delonte West returned to the streets to continue doing what he had been doing.
