The Oklahoma City Thunder continue to dominate the Western Conference with an 11-3 record. On Tuesday, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s team faced the San Antonio Spurs at the Frost Bank Center, but it wasn’t just their on-court performance that made headlines.
Ahead of the game, the Thunder’s social media team shared a video of the players arriving at the arena. Star guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander drew significant attention for his bold pregame outfit.
Gilgeous-Alexander, who recently garnered attention for kicking Andrew Wiggins in intimate part, stepped out in style, wearing a crisp white shirt paired with shiny pants and sunglasses. His flashy ensemble quickly became the talk of social media, as fans couldn’t resist commenting on his fashion choices.
While some appreciated his bold style, others took the opportunity to troll the Thunder Star with humorous and sarcastic remarks. The internet buzz surrounding his outfit added a touch of off-court drama to the game day.
Ty Lue Compares Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to Michael Jordan
Los Angeles Clippers head coach Ty Lue recently praised Oklahoma City Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. In an interview with ESPN, Lue praised the young guard’s maturity and ability to dominate games. Lue even compared Gilgeous Alexander to one of basketball’s all-time greats.
“As a younger player, you can tend to get out of control or try to get my points. He knows it’s going to come to him the style they play; he knows the ball’s going to come back. SGA knows that at any point in time he can take over the game. He reminds you a lot of the greats like [Michael] Jordan,” Lue said.
This season, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is also demonstrating his stellar athleticism. The Thunder star averages 28.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game.
