The Kansas City Chiefs suffered a significant setback this Sunday as star wide receiver Rashee Rice was carted off against the Los Angeles Chargers.
The second-year wideout looked to have sustained a hyperextended knee after a nasty collision with teammate Patrick Mahomes while making a defensive play following an interception.
Rice was upended by Mahomes while the Chiefs scrambled for the loose ball, having knocked it out of the defender’s hand while he was running after recovering it.

Rashee Rice Had To Be Helped Off, Then Carted Off
Rice was unable to leave the field on his own power and needed to be helped off. He was subsequently carted off.
It has since been announced that his status has been downgraded to “out” following an x-ray.
