The Tampa Bay Bay Bucs may have just lost Chris Godwin for quite some time.

With seconds to play in the final quarter and down by double digits, the team was trying to mount a late comeback when Baker Mayfield tried to find him with a pass.

Chris Godwin went down and did not get back up.

A cart would come out as players kneeled down around him.

Before his injury, Godwin had seven catches for 65 yards and no touchdowns.

This injury came nearly three years removed from a serious knee injury he suffered.

The Bucs were coming off a 51-point outburst against New Orleans in which Chris Godwin had 11 catches for 125 yards and two touchdowns.

Now, that weapon is gone.

Losing Chris Godwin Is Awful For The Tampa Bay Bucs

All the Tampa Bay Bucs had to do was call off the dogs and end their night.

With just seconds to play, star wideout Chris Godwin would suffer a terrible leg injury that would likely end his season.

Entering play Sunday, Godwin led the NFL in receptions (43), ranked third in receiving yards (511), and was tied for the league lead in touchdown receptions with five.
