Aaron Rodgers is taking heat online after appearing to throw his wide receivers under the bus.

The New York Jets quarterback suffered another tough loss on Monday night, with the Buffalo Bills beating them 23-20 at home in their first outing since Robert Saleh’s firing.

The Bills are now 2-4 to start the season and will need to turn things around quickly if they intend to make something of the campaign.

Rodgers, who threw a late fourth-quarter interception to seal the defeat, explained what happened to reporters, suggesting Mike Williams ran the wrong route on the play, forcing him to make a last-second adjustment and throw elsewhere.

“There’s two verticals, Allen [Lazard is] down the seam and Mike [Williams is] down the redline,” he remarked. “I look at Allen and there’s three guys going with him so I’m throwing a no look to the redline. When I peak my eyes back there [Mike Williams] is running an ‘in-breaker’ gotta be down the redline.”

Fans on social media criticized the QB over his comments and were clearly of the view that he should have taken responsibility.  You can see some of their reactions below:

Not Everyone Disagreed With Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers didn’t piss everyone off, however; he actually had some fans backing him, with some claiming this is something Tom Brady used to do.

Meanwhile, the Jets have made a huge move to correct their receiving errors, having traded for Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams, who played with Rodgers in Green Bay.

Maybe exciting times still lie ahead.
