Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce hasn’t looked like himself so far during the 2024 season.

The Chiefs may be 3-0 on the season, but that was hard to tell if you were a viewer watching Travis Kelce on the sidelines during Week 3 as they faced off against the Atlanta Falcons on the road.

Travis Kelce looked frustrated on the sidelines in a video that has gone incredibly viral, especially with fans of Taylor Swift.

One member of the Swifties believed she found out why he looked so sad on the bench.

“I truly believe they are fading him out because they know he doesn’t have much time left, and they are using their younger players more. It’s literally the worst. My heart breaks for him. He wants his team to win, but he wants to know that he’s contributing.”

A large part of the success of the defending Super Bowl champions this year has come on the shoulders of wide receiver Rashee Rice. The second-year receiver hauled in a career-high 12 catches for 110 yards and a touchdown against the Falcons.

What we may be witnessing is a changing of the guard in real-time.

Travis Kelce’s Slow Starts Compared To Previous Seasons

Kansas City’s offense has been relatively average despite their 3-0 record. Travis Kelce has virtually been invisible.

Through the first three games of the season, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end has caught only eight passes for a total of 69 yards.

The three-time Super Bowl champion and four-time First Team All-Pro has become accustomed to being dominant throughout his career.

His most productive three games to start a year were in 2022 when he amassed 184 receiving yards on 17 receptions, setting career highs in receptions (110), receiving yards (1,338), and touchdowns (12).

Just last year, Kelce missed the first game due to injury but then returned and nabbed 155 yards receiving in his first three starts combined.
