Sportsnet journalist Kyle Bukauskas has just reported some interesting news involving the Montreal Canadiens.

Immediately after leaving the Buffalo Sabres’ arena, likely in the next few moments, six players from the Canadiens will head to nearby Toronto to support their former teammate Shea Weber, who will be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame tonight.

Six Montreal Canadiens players to immediately head to Toronto

Here’s what was reported:

«According to Sportsnet’s Kyle Bukauskas, the six Canadiens players who played with Shea Weber will travel to Toronto after today’s game to attend his induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Among them: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, Brendan Gallagher, Jake Evans, Josh Anderson, and Joel Armia.»

This is expected to happen within the next few minutes.

Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton will also be present.

It’s truly a nice gesture on their part and speaks volumes about their relationship with their former teammate Weber.

«The few Habs players who played with Shea Weber during his time in Montreal will be heading to Toronto to witness the former captain’s induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame tonight.

Carey Price, Ben Chiarot, and Jeff Petry have also made the trip to attend the ceremony.»

Let’s hope Weber can offer them some advice to help turn the team around for good, as they really need it right now.

While management had hoped to be in the playoff mix, it seems they’ll have to settle for the mix for the first overall pick in the upcoming draft, even after today’s win.

Shea Weber, 39, recorded 589 points, including 224 goals, over 1,038 career games in the NHL.

He played with the Nashville Predators and, of course, with the Montreal Canadiens.

Congratulations, Captain Weber!
