Since arriving in the WNBA this season, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark has been one of the best players in the league. In her rookie season, she shattered many records. Additionally, Clark led all rookies in scoring (19.2) and the league in assists (8.4). Not only that, she was also named the Rookie of the Year.

Clark did not get all the votes for the Rookie Of The Year 2024 award, however. She got 66 out of 67 votes, with Chicago Sky star Angel Reese getting one vote. NFL legend Shannon Sharpe was unhappy with this as he believed that Clark should have won the ROTY award unanimously.

I don’t know how you come to the conclusion that she wasn’t the unanimous ROTY, She led the rookies in scoring, she led them in assists, she averaged like five, six rebounds a game. She set records for scoring, assists, three-pointers. … Let’s not get into it.

One could argue with Sharpe’s claims as Reese also had a great rookie season. She averaged 13.6 points and a league-high 13.1 rebounds. However, she was sidelined for the team’s final six games due to an injury sustained late in the season. The Sky finished 13–27 and missed the Playoffs as well.
