Former FS1 sports analyst Skip Bayless is gearing up to launch a new show following his departure from ‘Undisputed.’

The longtime journalist has not done well since his breakup with Shannon Sharpe, which eventually led to the network letting him go.

According to former Pro Bowl defensive end Marcellus Wiley, Bayless is going to start up a new show with rapper Lil Wayne, who was a regular contributor on ‘Undisputed’ and made the song that introduced the show every morning.

Wiley reported on Skip’s impending departure before it happened and is now claiming that the veteran is about to hook up with the hip-hop icon again.

“He running it back with Lil Wayne,” he said on his podcast this week. “That’s what the word on the street is. Got this report, can’t out my source because then my source would be outed and I wouldn’t get any more information or intel like I did. Like I told you when Skip Bayless’s last day was at Undisputed, that came to be true. This shall come to be true as well.”

Wiley was the first to dish on Bayless’ final day at FS1, revealing it would be on August 2. Skip did not deliver a farewell message on that show but confirmed his departure in a tweet afterward, also teasing something big for the not-too-distant future.

“I can’t wait to reveal all of the above as we get closer to the launch of the NFL season,” he wrote.

Skip Bayless Previously Teased A Partnership With Lil Wayne

With the NFL season just a day away, Skip Bayless is yet to announce his next move. But it appears he’s set to do something with Wayne, who has been a good friend for several years.

Bayless brought the rapper on as part of a rotating cast on ‘Undisputed’ after Shannon left, though his involvement hardly brought in ratings ratings.

The 72-year-old did tease a show with Wayne back in May when someone called into his podcast.

“I’m going to do a show with my brother Lil Wayne,” he told the caller. “I’m not talking about just a couple of segments at the end of Friday’s Undisputed, I’m talking about a show. A real live show. A sports-based show with music and life mixed in.”

So, let’s just wait and see.
