The Pittsburgh Steelers are catching some heat online following a tweet from a popular NFL account detailing why TJ Watt might not play in the Super Bowl at the end of the season.
The Steelers have done well so far this term and currently lead the AFC North with a 6-2 record. But it appears that MLFootball has already assumed they’ll be playing in the Super Bowl, as they noted that Watt might miss the big game because his wife is expecting to give birth in February.
“REPORT: #Steelers star T.J. Watt may not be able to play the Super Bowl because his wife is expecting their first child in February, according to CBS,” the account wrote.
Fans Don’t Think TJ Watt’s Family Life Will Be The Reason He Won’t Be In The Super Bowl
Of course, it’s a bit early to have the Steelers in the conversation, especially given what the Kansas City Chiefs are doing this season, so fans had a lot to say.
“Yeah, won’t be because his wife is giving birth,” one wrote.
“I didn’t realize they made the Super Bowl already. Congrats to the AFC November champs, the Steelers!” joked a third.
“Is TJ Watt getting traded to the Chiefs?” someone asked.
“Good thing he doesn’t have to worry about his team playing then,” someone else wrote.
Pittsburgh is coming off a bye week and will face a stern test on their return to action as they’re scheduled to play the Washington Commanders this Sunday in a game that should require them to be at their best given the opponent’s red-hot form.
