The Las Vegas Raiders are dealing with trade talks for star wide receiver Davante Adams and appear to have given the price it would take to unload him.

The details of a possible Davante Adams trade request are starting to materialize.

Adams requested a trade from the Las Vegas Raiders last week, and it paved the way for teams interested in adding the dynamic receiver to their offensive unit to make a run at him.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that the Saints have been the most aggressive team in trying to obtain Davante Adams, while ESPN’s Adam Schefter indicated more on the developing market.

Schefter said trade talks should “intensify” next week and also clarified that the market has been tepid. Teams are reluctant to make a firm, outstanding offer for the star over fear of being the one to anchor in the asking price.

Fast-forward to this week, and there are rumors that the Las Vegas Raiders are seeking a second-round pick for WR Davante Adams.

Due to the high asking price, only the Kansas City Chiefs are willing to meet it right now.

Davante Adams has been rumored to be traded from the Raiders to several teams, including AFC title contenders such as the Chiefs, Ravens, and Bills, but reports have previously stated that he would prefer to end up back with one of his former NFL quarterbacks, Aaron Rodgers or Derek Carr.

Based on how Rodgers is playing this year, he might want to rethink that.

If he truly wants a chance at a Super Bowl, then playing with Patrick Mahomes is the way to go.

Antonio Pierce And Davante Adams Do Not Appear To Be On Speaking Terms

The Raiders are presumably fielding trade offers for Davante Adams, and it all began with Antonio Pierce liking a post stating that the wideout had played his last down for the team.

Adams responded during an interview with Kay Adams.

Raiders coach Antonio Pierce wouldn’t discuss Adams or anything on the trade front last Wednesday:

“That’s handled on the third floor [by General Manager Tom Telesco],” Pierce said, via Tashan Reed of TheAthletic.com. “I’m focused on the Denver Broncos and getting my team ready and prepared to play. . . . I’ll handle the grass; Telesco will handle everything else.”

With him being out with an injury, it appears the two of them are simply avoiding contact with one another until everything is resolved.
