The Montreal Canadiens just announced a personnel move.

Forward Rafaël Harvey-Pinard, who has been working for weeks to get back to 100% and return to play, has officially been sent to the Laval Rocket.

This will be a conditioning stint in the American Hockey League for the Quebec-born forward, which means he has officially been cleared by doctors. Great news!

See the official announcement from the Montreal Canadiens:

The Canadiens have assigned forward Rafaël Harvey-Pinard to the Laval Rocket on a long-term injury conditioning loan.

This will be solid reinforcement for the Habs’ farm team and for Pascal Vincent.

Rafaël Harvey-Pinard, 25 years old, is a hardworking forward standing 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 181 pounds.

The Montreal Canadiens’ 7th-round pick in 2019 has accumulated 31 points in 83 career NHL games, including 17 goals. Notably, he recorded 20 points in 34 games (14 goals) during the 2022-2023 season.

We’re really looking forward to seeing him back in the lineup.

He is expected to play a few games in Laval with Pascal Vincent’s squad and should return to the Montreal Canadiens immediately afterward.

Let’s recall that the Laval Rocket are currently in first place in their division, the North Division, with an outstanding record of 12 wins and 2 losses.
