Rafaël Harvey-Pinard Clears Waivers, And the Canadiens Make a New Announcement

We have a verdict for Rafaël Harvey-Pinard. The young forward for the Montreal Canadiens was placed on waivers yesterday by Kent Hughes, and we were eager to see if he would be claimed.

We now have the answer.

«Rafaël Harvey-Pinard is not claimed off waivers and is now a full member of the Laval Rocket for the time being. He will be able to suit up on Wednesday against the Crunch in Syracuse.»

See the official announcement.

Rafaël Harvey-Pinard, 25 years old, is a hard-working forward standing 5 foot 9 inches and weighing 181 pounds.

A seventh-round pick by the Montreal Canadiens in 2019, he has accumulated 31 points in 83 career NHL games, including 17 goals. Notably, he registered 20 points in 34 games (14 goals) during the 2022-2023 season.

This season with the Laval Rocket, he has tallied 1 point (1 goal) in five games.

He will now continue his season with Pascal Vincent’s squad. A significant boost for the Rocket.

We wish RHP a strong stint “down there,” and if all goes well, seeing him back with the Habs later this season is definitely a possibility.

In the meantime, Joshua Roy has clearly surpassed him in the hierarchy.

More details to come.
