An interesting detail regarding the young man who was involved in an altercation with former Eagles star Jason Kelce has surfaced following Saturday’s shocking incident.
Kelce was recorded smashing a male believed to be a Penn State student after he referenced Travis Kelce with a homophobic slur.
The former offensive lineman has addressed the incident, speaking about it during ‘Monday Night Countdown’ this week. He claimed to be disappointed with the way he reacted, vowing to be better.
There has been chatter over potential consequences where Kelce is concerned, but TMZ has revealed that Penn State police still haven’t identified the fan, given that no one has come forward to report their phone being destroyed.
“A spokesperson for the university police department tells TMZ Sports that they do not know the identity of the guy, adding no one has come forward to make a complaint over their personal property (smashed phone) being damaged,” the publication reports.
“FYI, an officer who observed some of the incident did file a report.”
Jason Kelce’s Phone Smashing Victim Isn’t On The Penn State Hockey Team
There was some speculation suggesting that the mystery fan was on the Penn State hockey team because he was wearing a team sweatshirt. But the school’s athletic department has said he has no affiliation with the program—furthermore, the team wasn’t even around last weekend.
“The team was actually on the road playing games in Minnesota on Friday and Saturday,” associate director of strategic communications, John Hannah, said in an email.
Time will tell whether the young man chooses to report his phone getting smashed. Then again, he might be willing to cut his losses.
He could probably still sell the device. “Smashed by future Pro Football Hall of Famer Jason Kelce” is a hell of a description.
