The young guard had to be rushed to the hospital for a possible concussion evaluation after a tough collision during the game. ESPN’s Tim Bontemps addressed McCain’s situation with Philadelphia head coach Nick Nurse. Nurse shared his concern for McCain’s well-being.

“Nick Nurse said McCain is on his way to the hospital to get checked out and hopes that he’s ok—said he’d never seen anything quite like McCain’s reaction on the court after the fall,” the report read.

The incident occurred in the fourth quarter when McCain collided with Nets defender Ziaire Williams. McCain landed hard on the court, and things took a worrying turn soon after.

McCain appeared to hit his head and back sharply on the floor and visibly struggled to catch his breath. The 76ers’ training staff quickly rushed to his aid, helping him off the court.
